Based on real events, the story follows US Navy officer Marcus Luttrell (Mark Wahlberg), sent to Afghanistan in search of a Osama bin Laden trusted man. When he comes across an elderly man and three children, he is ordered to kill all four, but Marcus has no courage to do so. The whereabouts of the Americans are discovered and soon the entire team is attacked by 250 armed men, sent by Al Qaeda.
