Atlantic City

Lou (Burt Lancaster) is a decadent gangster who lives on memories of the past, a time when he was great and feared by everyone. On his travels around the city, he meets Sally (Susan Sarandon), a girl who dreams of working in Monte Carlo as a croupier. Suddenly, Dave (Robert Joy) her husband, comes up with a shipment of drugs stolen from the mafia. He convinces Lou to go into the business and sell the drug, but things go wrong and Dave ends up being killed by the mafia. Old Lou realizes that he can still regain his former strength and respect by facing the bad guys and defending the beautiful Sally who is also being threatened by the mafia.
