Tetsuo: The Iron Man

Tetsuo is a science fiction film influenced by Cyberpunk about the intersection of man and a post-industrial technology accompanied by an appropriate industrial music soundtrack. The film is made in black and white, which further accentuates the dark and hallucinatory side of the entire narrative. The film begins with a punk that is run over by a driver who runs away. Severely injured, the young punk reconstructs his mutilated body with pieces of metal, becoming Robopunk.

Produced on a low budget, Tetsuo is now considered a cult movie. Tsukamoto usually acts in his films not only as a director, but also as a screenwriter, producer, director of photography, editor and actor.
