Trolösa

A drama about a love triangle, conscious disloyalty and its consequences. Marianne (Lena Endre) is married to Regent Markus (Thomas Hanzon), with whom she has a daughter. All goes well at the wedding until one night, David (Krister Henriksson), her husband's best friend, pays a visit. From that encounter, she sees him differently and is attracted to David. As soon as the opportunity arises, the passion breaks out and the two begin to have an affair. But Markus finds out, starting a game of tragic and unexpected consequences. Secrets are revealed, showing that everyone is unfaithful. Ingmar Bergman was inspired by an experience of his own to write the screenplay.
