At 42, Rafael Belvedere (Ricardo Darín) is in crisis, as he has taken on too many responsibilities and no longer has time for any kind of fun.

Much of his time is spent managing the restaurant founded by his father, in which he is even relatively successful, but never managing to escape his father's shadow.

Rafael rarely visits his mother, Norma (Norma Aleandro), who is losing her memory as she always teases her companions.

His ex-wife accuses him of not paying enough attention to his son and there is Naty (Natalia Verbeke), Rafael's current girlfriend, who always demands attention and commitment from him.

In the midst of all these responsibilities, Rafael suffers a heart attack, which causes him to meet again with Juan Carlos (Eduardo Blanco), a childhood friend, who helps him rebuild his past and see the present with new eyes.
