Bob Harris and Charlotte, are two Americans in Tokyo. Bob, is a decadent movie star who is in town to shoot a whiskey commercial. And beautiful Charlotte, accompanies her husband, John, a workaholic photographer. Both are in the same hotel, and do not know each other. They just share the boredom of the hours they spend. Bob, he spends most of his free time at the hotel bar. While Charlotte, she spends hours looking out of her apartment window. Until one day they meet and a new world unfolds for both. Suddenly she looks more colorful, more agitated and more attractive. And those two lives, once taken by boredom, gain new perspectives. Bob and Charlotte are born, a magical friendship, a complicity rarely seen, a new way of seeing the city and life.
