Charlie Croker (Mark Wahlberg) is a crime genius, who is determined to retrieve a gold-filled safe that was stolen by his former partner Steve (Edward Norton), who betrayed him. To this end, he has a gang formed by computer genius Steve (Seth Green), Handsome Rob (Jason Statham), explosive specialist Left Ear (Mos Def), safecracker John Bridger (Donald Sutherland) and the beautiful Stella Bridger (Charlize Theron). The gang's plan is to recover the safe in the heart of Los Angeles, creating the biggest traffic jam the city has ever seen in its history.
