Detective Kari Sorjonen is one of the most respected officers of the National Bureau of Investigation in Finland. Because of his wife's illness, he decides to spend more time with his family, and everyone moves to the small town of Lappeenranta, on the border with Russia. However, plans to have a peaceful life go down the drain when Sorjonem faces a series of murders, prostitution cases, kidnappings and drug trafficking in the new neighborhood.
