Al Pacino is the police officer who infiltrates New York's gay community to try to unravel the identity of a murderer who is terrorizing the group. The experience turns out to be far more brutal than he could have imagined. To find the maniac, he must immerse himself in the atmosphere of the city's sadomasochism clubs and other gay strongholds. The investigation ends up compromising the relationship with his girlfriend, Nancy (Karen Allen), and puts him face to face with his personal dilemmas. Police drama based on the book by Gerald Walker.
