Tomás Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) is a progressive, ambitious and understanding priest who coordinates a small parish located in the suburb of Chicago. Father Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels) works in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Mexico City, being completely obsessed with his religious mission. Both meet when they need to deal with the case of demonic possession that afflicts the Rance family, which is part of Father Tomás' parody. Desperate with the situation of her daughter Katherine (Brianne Howey), Angela (Geena Davis) seeks the help of the priests. As much as they have great differences in behavior, they need to join forces to face the greatest challenge of their lives.
