The Phantom of the Opera

La Carlotta (Minnie Driver) is the diva of a renowned theater company, which is responsible for the operas performed in an imposing theater. Temperamental, La Carlotta is irritated by the absence of a solo in the company's new production and decides to abandon rehearsals. With the premiere scheduled for the same day, the new theater owners have no alternative but to accept the suggestion of Madame Giry (Miranda Richardson) and cast in her place the young Christine Daae (Emmy Rossum), who was part of the choir. Christine is successful in her debut, drawing the attention of Viscount de Chagny (Patrick Wilson), the new sponsor of the company. The Viscount and Christine met as children, but he only recognizes her in the staging of the opera.
