Philippe (François Cluzet) is a wealthy aristocrat who, after suffering a serious accident, becomes quadriplegic. Needing an assistant, he decides to hire Driss (Omar Sy), a troubled young man who has no experience in caring for people in his state. Gradually he learns the function, despite the various gaffes he makes. Philippe, on the other hand, becomes increasingly fond of Driss because he does not treat him like a poor man. Gradually the friendship between them is established with each one knowing the world of the other better.
