The 21st Chicago Police Department is made up of two distinct groups: officers in uniform, who patrol the city and deal with urban crimes, and the Intelligence Unit, which is made up of a team willing to tackle the most serious offenses: crime organized drug trafficking, high-profile murders and others. Commanding the Special Unit is Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), a man who spares no effort in enforcing the law. He works directly with him, is Detective Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda).
