In 1936, archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones is contacted by the US government to search for the Ark of the Covenant - a religious relic that would contain the tablets of the Ten Commandments and be a source of incalculable powers - and find it before the Nazis, who seek the same treasure with plans for world domination. Accompanied by ex-girlfriend Marion, Indy will face all sorts of dangers - from bloodthirsty Nazis to temples full of traps and poisonous snakes.
