"The Hero's Return, Hong Gil-dong" is a South Korean animated film released in 1995.

During the Joseon Dynasty, Hong Gil-dong, the bastard son of Byeongjo Panseo Hong Panseo, is kicked out of his home after receiving a sudden scolding from his father. Gil-dong, who was expelled without knowing why, meets Chadolbawi who was stealing a nobleman's wallet. Falling in love with Gil-dong's martial arts and character, Chadolbawi offers to become a subordinate and informs Gil-dong of the existence of the righteous Hwalbindang. The two soon head to Danbalyeong, Mt. Geumgang, where Hwalbindang is located. On the way to Mount Geumgang, he meets Gop-dan and accompanies him. The person who appeared in front of them was Baegun Dosa, one of the eight sages. Master Baekun, who built Hwalbindang and was fighting Master Pelvis, was waiting for these three. The only way to defeat the pelvic guru is for Gildong, Gopdan and Chadolbawi to unite. The three clear souls gathered in this way defeat the pelvic guru.
