"Castlevania: Bloodlines" is an action-adventure game released in 1994 for the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) console. The game begins with a prologue set in 1917 during World War I.

The story starts when a young woman named Elizabeth Bartley, a niece of the notorious Count Dracula, decides to resurrect her evil uncle and bring chaos to the world. She initiates a sinister ritual to bring Dracula back to life, unleashing a series of dreadful events.

To prevent evil from spreading, two brave heroes spring into action: John Morris, a vampire hunter wielding the legendary whip "Vampire Killer"; and Eric Lecarde, a Spanish nobleman with a cursed spear called "Alucard Spear." Together, they embark on a dangerous journey to defeat Elizabeth Bartley, confront hordes of evil monsters, and ultimately face the dreadful Count Dracula in his sinister castle.
