Daigo Shigeno is a teenager, son of Goro, a professional baseball player. Inspired by his father, who played in the Japanese Major League, Daigo begins playing baseball with the Mifune Dolphins, a youth league. Unable to live up to the expectations of a professional gambler's son, he ends up giving up baseball in less than a year.
