With the destruction of their home planet Krypton imminent, Jor-El and his wife seek to preserve the race by sending their newborn son to Earth. The child's spaceship lands on the farm of Jonathan and Martha Kent, who name him Clark and raise him as their own child. Despite extraordinary abilities leading the grown-up Clark to live on the fringes of society, he must become a hero to save those he loves from a terrible threat.
