Tommy Conlon (Tom Hardy) is Paddy's youngest son (Nick Nolte) and has recently returned home. Tommy overcomes his father's drinking problems and starts training with him to be able to participate in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) championships, the famous MMA. But his trajectory means that he has to face Brendan Conlon (Joel Edgerton), his own brother in the ring.
