Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) is part of a top secret project called Source Code capable of transporting a man to the body of another, assuming his identity in the remaining eight minutes of life for each target chosen for the "occupation". A terrorist attack blew up a train outside Chicago, killing all passengers and now your mission is to go back in time on the body of one of the victims and try to find the perpetrator because a new target will be reached within six hours and the damage promises to be even greater. Now, he needs to identify the criminal to prevent further deaths, but ends up falling in love with Christina (Michelle Monaghan), one of the victims of the train, and intends to change history, changing the rules of the game and putting the future at risk.
