The "Universe War" was a large-scale conflict involving the various giants of the different universes against a threat simply known as "The Calamity". At the brink of defeat, Tega Sword appeared and the giants offered their powers, creating the "Sentai Rings", who destroyed the Calamity but also provoked the destruction and recreation of the universe with the rings scattered across the cosmos. Sometime later, five outcasts from society are given the chance to change their lives when Tega Sword chooses them to transform into the Gozyugers, who are tasked with gathering the Sentai Rings and the one who assembles all of them will get their wish granted, which starts a competition not only between the group, but against the No One World Buraidan, as well other people that have been chosen to also get their wish granted dubbed the "Universe Warriors".
