In the future, the violent Alex (Malcolm McDowell), leader of a gang of criminals who kill, rob and rape, falls into the hands of the police. In prison, he is given the option to participate in a program that can reduce his time in jail. Alex becomes a guinea pig for experiments designed to curb the destructive impulses of the human being, but ends up becoming powerless to deal with the violence that surrounds him.
