Sinopse

After a shower of small meteors hitting Earth (including New York), NASA realizes that a Texas-sized asteroid is on a collision course with our planet. The asteroid approaches the Earth at a speed of 35,000 km / h. and if the shock happens, any form of life will cease to exist on Earth, just like the one that exterminated the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. With only 18 days left for the shock between Earth and the asteroid, the only possible solution is to send astronauts on a space shuttle to the surface of the asteroid and drill there 800 feet to place a nuclear bomb, detonating it by remote control. To accomplish this mission, the most famous oil drill (Bruce Willis) is summoned to great depths in the world, which requires forming his team with technicians who behave unconventionally by government standards.
