A.K. Waters (Bruce Willis) is a dedicated and faithful lieutenant in the Navy, whose mission is to go to the jungles of Nigeria and rescue missionary doctor Lena Hendricks (Monica Bellucci). Upon arriving at the site with her unit, Water must deal with the imposition made by the doctor: she is either taken with 70 other war refugees, who would be left on the border with Cameroon, or she will stay where she is. In doubt between fulfilling his mission and providing humanitarian aid to refugees, Waters decides to heed Hendricks' appeal and take them with his unit. However, the Navy soon discovers that among the refugees is a man wanted by the Nigerian rebel militia, which endangers the entire mission.
