Jenko (Channing Tatum) and Schmidt (Jonah Hill) studied together, but were never friends. The situation changes when they meet at the police academy, where they start helping each other. Already trained, they get involved in a mess when trying to arrest a drug dealer, who worked in the park where they worked. Relocated to a division commanded by Captain Walters (Ice Cube), where young policemen work undercover, they are tasked with finding out who is the supplier of a new and dangerous drug. Back in the school environment and acting under false names, Jenko and Schmidt need to get used to the new times without losing focus on the task that was assigned to them
