Eles Não Usam Black-Tie

In São Paulo, in 1980, the young worker Tião (Carlos Alberto Riccelli) and his girlfriend Maria (Bete Mendes) decide to marry when they learn that the girl is pregnant. At the same time, there is a strike movement that divides the metallurgical category. Worried about marriage and fearing losing his job, Tião breaks the strike, coming into conflict with his father, Otávio (Gianfrancesco Guarnieri), an old union activist who spent three years in jail during the military regime.
