It's Christmas Eve and a boy (Tom Hanks) is awake. No longer believing in Santa Claus, he waits for something that will make his belief in the Christmas figure return. Suddenly he hears a loud noise, going outside his house. The boy then sees in front of him a gigantic black train bound for the North Pole, whose driver (Tom Hanks) invites him to board. After some reluctance, he decides to continue his journey.
