Ambushed in their own home by Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe), the Firefly family retaliates against the fire, but only Otis and his sister Baby manage to escape. At a roadside motel, the brothers call their old partner Captain Spaulding (Sig Haig) and slaughter whoever gets in the way. The violence increases and Wydell decides to cross the line and take justice into his own hands, in one of the most depraved and terrifying duels in the history of cinema.
