Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Hedwig is a rock singer who was born a man in East Germany and was called Hansel. Raised listening to an American radio, Hansel only had two certainties in life: that she would be a rock star and that one day she would find her soul mate. When she meets Luther, an American recruit who promises to marry and take him to the United States, Hansel thinks it's his turn to be happy. However, for his dream to come true, he is required to undergo sex-change surgery. Hansel becomes Hedwig, moves to America and forms a rock band. But this is just the first chapter of a story that is both dramatic and funny, permeated by ravishing love affairs, bitter disappointments and good rock.
