Homer Simpson (Dan Castellaneta) has a new pet: a pig. Due to a perforated silo full of feces, a major disaster occurs in Springfield. This causes a crowd hungry for revenge to gather in front of the Simpsons' house, wanting Homer and his family anyway. They manage to escape, but from then on the Simpsons start to argue and divide up about what happened. At the same time, what has caught the attention of the President of the United States, Arnold Schwazenegger (Harry Shearer), and the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, Russ Cargill (Albert Brooks), who plans to carry out a diabolical plan to contain the disaster that has occurred.
