The Originals is an American series, spin-off of The Vampire Diaries, and accompanies the character Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) on his return to the city of New Orleans, which he and his family helped to build hundreds of years ago.
The plot begins with Klaus discovering a mysterious clue about a witches' rebellion plan against him. Klaus' questions lead him to meet his former protégé, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), a vampire who took over New Orleans in the absence of the Mikaelson family.
