The world we live in no longer exists. It is just a memory in the memory of the few surviving human beings who are forced to fight zombies. They are humans stranded in a small town, while their mortal enemies populate the rest of the world. The rich try to maintain the illusion that they still live in a normal world, and isolate themselves in towers. The rest of the mortals are forced to live on the streets, indulging in addictions such as games, prostitution and drugs. However, in order to maintain these standards of living, both rich and poor are forced to rely on mercenaries who from time to time leave the city in search of products to sell and satisfy humans. Led by Kaufman (Dennis Hoper), Ridley (Simon Baker) and Cholo (John Leguizamo) are two of those mercenaries who risk their lives in exchange for payment. They dream of collecting money and fleeing to a better world ... if it exists. Meanwhile, the undead army is strengthened, endangering human existence even within the fortress, until recently impassable.
