Unaware of the dangers to come, the Harmon family leaves Boston and goes to a Los Angeles mansion hit by minor relationship conflicts. Soon after arrival, they meet the Landgons, with whom they develop a good relationship. Ben Harmon (Dylan McDermott), wife Vivien (Connie Britton) and Violet (Taissa Farmiga), their daughter, discover with their new companions that the house has a supernatural atmosphere full of ghosts.
