Forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) works at the Jeffersoninan Institute in Washington. With the FBI, she follows up on investigations into murder cases involving the victims' remains, especially their bones. Special Agent Seeley Both (David Boreanaz), arrogant but charming, is the one who works with her within the Investigation Agency. The series thus explores, in addition to the murder cases, the origins of the relationships between the characters and a friendship - and possible romance - between Booth and Brennan.
